As winter begins to unfold, I can't help but think of my neighbor's son Alex, who calls himself an indoor cat. He loves to play inside, even when the weather is glorious. Rain or shine, hot or cold, he would rather be inside than outside doing anything. For indoor cats like Alex, making the transition from warm-weather fun to cold-weather containment is easy.
Not everyone is happy about the arrival of cold winter weather, though. I hear so many people complain about the chill, the cold, and yes, the snow! (I know, it's unthinkable.) For outdoor cats, who prefer to play sports, hang out by the pool, and spend every waking moment outdoors in the warm weather, the winter may feel like being grounded.
Whether you're an indoor cat or an outdoor cat, this issue can help you enjoy the winter months. Making decorative sweaters is something you can do all year; if you make enough of them, you could even sell them to raise money for holiday shopping or bigger goals. We've even got ideas for staying active when it's cold outside so you outdoor cats can keep moving until the warm weather returns.
Winter is a great time for contemplation, so close your eyes and dream about the wonderful things you can create. Then open your eyes, and get busy.
